On thin plates of beech, the ancient inhabitants of the old continent wrote runes, so over time the name of this tree in some languages gained new meanings.

In the Germanic language group, Buche is synonymous with both the book and this colossal species with silver bark, and in the Slavic part of Europe, the beech also left a strong mark - bukvar was a beginner from which one learned to read and write.

Beech is hard, firm, heavy, but very elastic and has a beautiful texture.

Beech wood is used to make barrels, toys, sports equipment, as well as furniture and high-quality parquets and floors. It is used as construction, carpentry and turning wood, and also in production of veneer and veneer panels.
